The Littlebourne Benefice is made up of 4 churches, each with a unique identity and each serving the community in which it is situated.  Our worship includes a range of styles from sung Parish Communions to quiet said communion services, from BCP Evensong or Matins to more informal and family-friendly Family Praise.

We seek to work together to show the love of God to those around and to offer a welcome to all.

    Our four churches are:

    Littlebourne: St Vincent

    Ickham: St John the Evangelist

    Wickhambreaux: St Andrew

    Stodmarsh: St Mary

The Revd Gillean Craig has been appointed as Interim Priest in Charge of the Littlebourne Benefice and Associate Priest, with special responsibility for Wingham St Mary the Virgin, with effect from 20th February for six months until 20th August 2020.

The PCCs of all our churches have formally approved this step and look forward to the Revd Gillean’s leadership and encouragement.  We are most grateful to Archdeacon Jo Kelly-Moore for all her work in arranging this.  Meanwhile she continues to support us in seeking for a permanent priest for our five parishes.

Gillean and his wife Linda retired to Whitstable last year after a long ministry in the Diocese of London.  Most recently Gillean was Vicar of St Mary Abbot’s Church in Kensington and he is a Prebendary Emeritus of St Paul’s Cathedral; he has told us that he is looking forward to rural ministry.  From Whitstable, he will come to us on Sundays, and at such other times as are most useful in this part-time position.  We look forward to giving him a warm welcome in our churches, our schools and our villages.
